The ADSS Optical Cable is an all-dielectric, self-supporting fiber optic cable for aerial communication networks without a metallic messenger. Its configuration can be selected by fiber count, installation span, wind, ice, temperature, and site conditions.
ADSS Cable Construction
All-Dielectric Structure: Non-metallic construction enables aerial installation without a separate metallic support wire where electrical insulation is required.
Loose Tube Arrangement: Optical fibers are housed in loose tubes with 6 or 12 fibers per tube, depending on the cable configuration.
Fiber Count Options: Available configurations range from 4F to 144F, including 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 96, and 144 fibers.
Tube Color Identification: Tube colors follow Blue, Orange, Green, and Brown to support fiber and tube identification during installation and termination.

PE / AT Sheath
PE Sheath: PE sheath configuration can be considered for aerial cable applications where the installation environment does not require additional tracking resistance.
AT Sheath: AT sheath configuration is applicable where the cable is installed in areas affected by electrical field conditions. The sheath selection should be matched to the voltage environment and project requirements.
Electrical Environment: Voltage grade is one of the project inputs used for ADSS cable configuration. The required sheath type should therefore be confirmed together with the installation voltage and route conditions.

Manufacturing & Quality Testing
Cable Dimension Inspection: Finished cable dimensions and weight are checked against the specified cable configuration and applicable production requirements.
Optical Performance Testing: Optical fiber performance is verified against the specified attenuation, mode field diameter, cut-off wavelength, and dispersion requirements.
Mechanical Testing: Mechanical characteristics such as maximum allowable tension and short-term crush resistance are checked for the specified cable configuration.
Configuration Verification: Fiber count, fiber arrangement, tube identification, cable structure, and order-specific configuration are checked before shipment to ensure consistency with the specified product.
